Blue Indicating Silica Gel is made of fine-pored Type A silica gel impregnated with an indicator agent, CoCl2. It is lustrous royal blue color when it is fresh. As it adsorbs water, the color changes to light blue, then pink, and then light pink (almost colorless). It can be used to indicate the moisture level of environment. When used with normal white silica gel, the color progression provides a relative indication of the degree of saturation of the silica gel.

Like Type A silica gel, its recommended applications include protective packaging, industrial gas drying and purification, tank and transformer breathers.

Both granular and beaded forms are available.
